Would you stay in a Sechelt Treehouse Cottage?

Located on the Sunshine Coast of beautiful British Columbia, the Sechelt Treehouse Cottage is just 50 kilometres northwest of Vancouver.  It is accessible via a 40-minute ferry ride from Horseshoe Bay.   Visiting Sechelt any time of year is great, both for families and couples.

My family members stayed at the Sechelt Treehouse Cottage for two nights in December.  The group consisted of two adults and two very active 5-year-old boys!  The boys needed lots of activity and the Sechelt Treehouse Cottage really delivered!  The consensus on their stay was a unanimous four thumbs up!

The Sechelt Treehouse Cottage is situated on its own private half acre, minutes outside of Sechelt.  There is one bedroom with a queen-sized bed plus a loft with another queen-sized bed.   A full kitchen, large bathroom and comfortable living area complete the accommodations.  The adults and boys really enjoyed the private hot tub just 10 steps down on a secondary deck as well as the cozy fireplace.

Many comforts of home are included with the Sechelt Treehouse Cottage such as a BBQ, high speed wireless internet, digital/cable TV and Apple TV.  Hosts were available when needed but were not obtrusive.  There was also a kayak and canoe available for use.

The family enjoyed the many beaches nearby.  It was a short 2-minute walk to the rocky beach in the tiny hamlet of Tuwanek, where the boys enjoyed playing with Lou, the community dog!

Porpoise Bay Provincial Park was a short 5-minute drive from the Treehouse Cottage, and the sandy beach there offered many hours of beach fun.  The town of Sechelt is a easy 10 minute drive.  The family enjoyed walking on the Sechelt boardwalk – it also had beach access.

Kayaking is very popular in the Sechelt area especially kayak fishing.  You should try it!
